Has anybody ever tried using a matrix to fire before? It seems like an extremely natural fit. --Ceasar 22:24, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

One a while back I had tried this. The term "targeting matrix" bothers me since there are plenty of other ways to use matrices in targeting such as as a part of clustering, for principal component analysis, or many other potential uses. I preferred the more descriptive terms "multivariate linear regression targeting" and "multivariate polynomial regression targeting". Anyway, when I tried this out, I found that it was okay-ish, but it really was a poor fit for two reasons: 1) It tended to give unrealistic values for less common situations, 2) It aims for the mean angle, when you really want to aim at the mode. --Rednaxela 23:07, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
