Well, there is a lot of room for subjectivity in listing "notable open source bots", but I think that fact is outweighed by how useful it is to point them out. Hopefully we can come to agreements and compromises if/when there are any disputes. I've tried to limit the list to bots that have had a big influence - for instance, while I think it's cool that Dookious is open source at the #1 spot, I've left it off the list because I just haven't seen much effect from that. I'm sure there is room for improvement in that list, so please discuss and help out. --[[User:Voidious|Voidious]] 17:05, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

What other sections might be useful on this page? Info about how to package and extract source with your robot in Robocode? A concise presentation of differing view points about open source? There are some very polarized opinions on the issue - it's surprising (and awesome) we all still get along so well. =) --[[User:Voidious|Voidious]] 17:05, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Inherently subjective, still informative

Well, there is a lot of room for subjectivity in listing "notable open source bots", but I think that fact is outweighed by how useful it is to point them out. Hopefully we can come to agreements and compromises if/when there are any disputes. I've tried to limit the list to bots that have had a big influence - for instance, while I think it's cool that Dookious is open source at the #1 spot, I've left it off the list because I just haven't seen much effect from that. I'm sure there is room for improvement in that list, so please discuss and help out. --Voidious 17:05, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

I removed Shiz and Coriantumr from the listing. If someone can point out how they were particularly influential, feel free to re-add them. The rest of the bots on the list I'm very confident about having there. --Voidious 19:14, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Other sections?

What other sections might be useful on this page? Info about how to package and extract source with your robot in Robocode? A concise presentation of differing view points about open source? There are some very polarized opinions on the issue - it's surprising (and awesome) we all still get along so well. =) --Voidious 17:05, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
