I started noticing some intermittent problems getting to the web server last night, and at some point I couldn't get to it at all. I talked to [[User:David Alves|David]], who couldn't get the server to restart, and he opened a support ticket with the host. I'm not yet sure what caused the problem, but I just wanted to acknowledge the downtime somewhere. If it turns out we need to upgrade the hosting plan to handle the load (perhaps much increased since moving to robowiki.net?), I'm definitely ready to do that.

I upgraded the MediaWiki software to 1.14.0. Everything looks OK to me so far and I backed everything up first. Please let me know if you encounter any problems. Enjoy! --[[User:Voidious|Voidious]] 02:36, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Server will be down tomorrow night 2009-07-15 from 10:00-11:59 PDT for maintenance. --David Alves

I started noticing some intermittent problems getting to the web server last night, and at some point I couldn't get to it at all. I talked to David, who couldn't get the server to restart, and he opened a support ticket with the host. I'm not yet sure what caused the problem, but I just wanted to acknowledge the downtime somewhere. If it turns out we need to upgrade the hosting plan to handle the load (perhaps much increased since moving to robowiki.net?), I'm definitely ready to do that.

PS - I've been considering starting to post Robocode and/or wiki related stuff to Twitter at Twitter.com/robowiki. Do any of you use Twitter, and does that seem useful to you? For instance, in this case, I'd at least have some avenue for posting info about the downtime until it's resolved; the RoboWiki going down and being in the dark about it is no fun.
