Code License zlib

Background Information

Where did you get the name?
A physics student of mine picked the name.
What's special about it?
Nothing really. Copernicus is going to be a cleaned-out and refined rewrite of deBroglie's 1-on-1 code, with melee abilities added.
How competitive is it?
Unknown. The first public release is a way off.

Strategy

How does it move?
In one-on-one, Copernicus will be a wave surfer. In melee, current plans are for minimum risk movement.
How does it fire?
In one-on-one, Copernicus will be use guess-factor targeting. In melee, current plans are for shooting at the densest collection of predicted enemy positions via displacement vectors. This is convenient, as deBroglie was already saving displacement vectors.
What does it save between rounds and matches?
Nothing between matches. Between rounds all surfing and targeting data is saved.

Additional Information

Can I use your code?
Copernicus is a zlib bot.
What's next for your robot?
The first public release. Probably several months off.
Does it have any White Whales?
Inherited from deBroglie.
What other robot(s) is it based on?
All code written by others is under some form of permissive open source license, noted in the source files.
