Background Information
- Where did you get the name?
- A physics student of mine picked the name.
- What's special about it?
- Nothing really. Copernicus is going to be a cleaned-out and refined rewrite of deBroglie's 1-on-1 code, with melee abilities added.
- How competitive is it?
- Unknown. The first public release is a way off.
Strategy
- How does it move?
- In one-on-one, Copernicus will be a wave surfer. In melee, current plans are for minimum risk movement.
- How does it fire?
- In one-on-one, Copernicus will be use guess-factor targeting. In melee, current plans are for shooting at the densest collection of predicted enemy positions via displacement vectors. This is convenient, as deBroglie was already saving displacement vectors.
- What does it save between rounds and matches?
- Nothing between matches. Between rounds all surfing and targeting data is saved.
Additional Information
- Can I use your code?
- Copernicus is a zlib bot.
- What's next for your robot?
- The first public release. Probably several months off.
- Does it have any White Whales?
- Inherited from deBroglie.
- Rumble : CassiusClay
- One on one : Dookious
- What other robot(s) is it based on?
- All code written by others is under some form of permissive open source license, noted in the source files.
