A slow bot is a robot that takes much longer to run then the majority of robots. Sometimes due to design limitations, such as a nanobot. Sometimes due to poor design, such as using a bubble sort or looping over code that doesn't need to be. Sometimes the robot just needs to do a lot of calculation to do what it does. Where energy consumption grows more than linear with speed, a slow bot can lead to major energy savings.

Depending on the cause, these robots may be considered a nuisance.
