I tried to find information about distancing in the wiki, but I couldn't find anything even though I think it's an important topic. Does anybody know whether there is already more theory about distancing?

I know there were some experiments with dynamic distancing, where score ratios were kept for different distances, then the distances with the best ratios were maintained. I think it was done by Kawigi with FloodMini.

Yup, I just found the page and migrated it, at Talk:Dynamic_Distancing

Also, from my personal experience in 1v1, further distances magnifies the difference in strength between the two bots. I guess there are less movement mechanics and physics limitations, and it becomes more about who has a stronger stats system and better prediction and path choosing mechanisms.
