Multiple versions ...

Hi Mate. Can i ask you to remove the lower versions of DevineBot from the rumble? Usually, there should be only one version per bot in the rumble. If you have a new version of your bot, you can just replace the old one in the participation list. And you can always compare versions if you click on the bot within the rumble results.

And of course, welcome to the RoboCode community.

Hi. That's not a problem. I can get the other versions removed for you after sending this message.

Can I ask you if there is any way (on the compare page) to compare the 'Rank' of the different bot versions? This was the only reason I was keeping multiple bot versions active at once?

Many thanks for the welcome. I may create a user and bot page on the wiki soon.

I don't think there's a way to compare Rank beyond just writing it down. Personally I use APS to compare, because with Rank if there are a bunch of bots with about the same score a small increase might increase your Rank a lot, while in other places it doesn't make any difference at all.

      And welcome to the wiki!

I have been writing down the rankings, but based on what you've said I may just use the APS as that is easily visible on the comparison pages.

        Many thanks!

There is a catch in using the compare history. When the amount of participants change, ratings also change. In 1v1 megabot ranking, the distortion is small due to the large number of participants. But in other rankings, it is significant.

The APS you want to compare is the 'Common % Score' and not the 'Average % Score'. The Common version only counts opponents that both versions have fought against. Example from GresSuffurd 0.3.14 against 0.3.12

            Common % Score (APS) 85.689 % 85.073 %
            Common % Survival 92.735 % 92.074 %
