I figured something using tables was the main way Quantum might be improved but I'd not considered bullet power selection. I was going to play with micros tonight but maybe I'll look at Quantum again instead!

Quantum is more efficient and looks great with colors. Plus it seems better at getting first due to the radar lock.

I was so excited when I found the single byte I needed to add colours that I released the wrong version! I'll be very sad to see them go.

The radar makes a really big difference. Whenever I've tried switching to something more compact the performance suffers. I suspect that with careful tuning more elaborate energy management could make for a good tradeoff.

I'm doing some (very rough) tuning on a simpler table based approach than yours that will cost me the colours but leave the radar intact. It should net some improvement, but I'm not sure how much yet.
