Really ? Do you expect me to come back after 4 years and re-enter the top-10 again ? And that 3 weeks before NewYear . . .
Why not. What else to during the New Year celebration :) This year the rumble was quite, let's shake it up.
I am also trying to move the rankings but WhiteFang's movement is really bad when the gun isn't. And GrubbmGait, I don't expect you to get in the top 10; I want you to get in the top 3.=)
Also movement makes the gun worser because it can't collect data. =.( I really need to get how to make a good movement and I don't understand anything with the code of good robots. If you help me I will be glad. =)
No worries, Mint is just a refactor/cleanup of Nene, so soon as it reaches the same rank I am going to pull Nene out, meaning your bot will reenter the top 10, unless someone pushes you another spot further down.
All I have left to do really is to re-add multiwave surfing and it should be as good or better than Nene.
I didn't know that and may I ask what is a multiwave surfing is?
It is dodging of several bullet in the air simultaneously vs. only the closest one. Search this wiki for wave surfing for more information.
Apparently, all top bots use it.
Well mint at #8 doesn't currently. But the only reason it is so high is because it has precise prediction, heat waves, and bullet shadows to just be really awesome at single wave avoidance, but to get much higher multiwave is a must.
I am in no position to argue about 1on1, but I think a good gun is even more important. EvBotNG is 10th in melee (I think it quite agile with waves) but in 1on1 it only in 78th.
If you cannot hit an opponent, the wave dodging does not help, since, sooner or latter, an enemy bullet will hit. And then the enemy score is higher.
Sorry but I didn't actually understand what you say.(My english is not very good) Is it surfing multiple waves at once or multiple bullets? (Now google translate uses neural networks and it changes the translation all the time.)
Have a look at Waves. In short a wave is all possible locations of a single fired bullet. Thus multi wave avoidance, is dodging of several bullets at once.
Good news for GrubbmGait: GresSuffured will be in the top ten again.
