The robots that come packaged with Robocode. They serve as good examples of various simple strategies. Beating all the Sample Bots is also a good early benchmark for new Robocoders before moving on to more sophisticated opponents.
The RoboWiki community has also begun creating a set of Super Sample Bots to showcase slightly more advanced strategies.
